This app is designed for diabetics (type 1 diabetes) and aims to assist in the daily calculation of carbohydrates with an editable base list of products.

The existing product list serves as a framework and can be edited and expanded by the user.

Diabetics can eat anything, but it is important to know the carbohydrate content of a product. For instance, when buying a cereal bar or a bottle of juice, the information is on the packaging, which poses no problem. However, what about loose products? What about cooking and baking? Pen, paper, and calculator?

The Carb Counter App provides a variety of products sorted into categories. Each product can easily be included in the calculation by specifying the quantity. The total carbohydrate amount is immediately visible at a glance.

Originally, I developed the Carb Counter App for our son (type 1 diabetic). We now use it daily. It has become a valuable tool for us and an indispensable part of our daily routine.

We have a personal interest in quickly resolving any potential errors and keeping the app up to date.

Notes:
- The Carb Counter App only runs on devices with an Android version of 4.x and above!
- The Carb Counter App does not require permission access.

General:
- Carbohydrate display is adjustable between g of carbs, carb units (CU), and bread units (BU).
- All products are displayed with carbohydrates, CUs, or BUs per 100g or ml of the product.
- Users can quickly create their own or non-existing products.
- Product properties such as name, category, carbs per 100g, everyday example are editable.
- Unnecessary products can be hidden.
- Quick product search available on every page.
- Swift navigation through a swipe menu.
- Various text colors are customizable.
- App description and help section provided.

Calculation:
- Addition of specific product quantities in grams or milliliters is possible.
- Carbohydrates are automatically calculated.
- Users can input missing carbohydrate values; the product quantity is then automatically calculated.
- Direct addition of the product quantity from everyday examples by tapping.
- Speedy modification of quantities in calculations, crossing out or deleting possible.

Favorites:
- Frequently used products can be marked as favorites.
- Favorites are additionally available in a separate list.

Favorite Groups:
- Complete calculations such as recipes or meals can be saved as favorite groups.
- Loaded favorite groups can be modified and saved again.
- Loaded favorite groups can be expanded and saved as new additional groups.
